Concern's on Periodontitis
Periodontitis (gum disease) affects a significant proportion of the adult population.
In May 2000, the US Surgeon General released a report entitled "Oral Health in America" in which it was stated that oral diseases are associated with other health problems. Since then, high level evidence indicates that individuals with periodontitis have a significantly increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, some respiratory diseases in high risk elderly patients and preterm, low birth weight deliveries.

The Healthiest Martini You Will Likely Ever Try!
Patio season is synonymous with barbecues and enjoying a beverage with
friends. For this month's recipe we've decided to include a beverage that
will add a little sophistication, flavour and nutrition to your get-together.
Red Spicy-Tini
- 1½ cup pomegranate juice
- ½ cup apple juice
- ¼ cup black cherry juice
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar
- splash of fresh ginger juice and/or lime juice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
